Baby Kate's first Christmas! She has 4 ornaments to remember it by. Three were gifts, and one we bought, with a gift card. So, I guess technically they were all gifts... NE ways, we had a wonderful Christmas! We are most definitely blessed and spoiled in so many ways, BUT NOT spoiled rotten or spoiled bratts!
We start celebrating on December 23. Mom, Dad, Shaun, Jaime, (and this year the Warmaths) come over for Christmas Dinner. We are not "hoity-toity" but we bust out the fancy dishes and wine glasses (for sparkling cider) just for fun.
On the 24th we have a busy evening going to the ABT Christmas Eve service, talking to all our friends, exchanging gifts, etc. Then we go to Aunt Linda's for about an hour to wish them a Merry Christmas, have some festive food, exchange gifts, and visit. Then we high tail it to another Christmas Eve service at a Presbyterian Church here in town. Patrick has gone to their service for 10 years now. It is always simple, sweet, sincere, heart warming, and CANDLE LIT! So wonderful! Although, this year ABT had a candle lit service which was wonderful too. Ummm... even though I missed most of it because I went out with Kate. Thats OK! She's worth it (Duh)! Finally we end up at home. What a busy night!
Christmas morning we read from the Gospel of John and open presents. Then Mom, Dad, Shaun, and Jaime come over. We have a big breakfast, including waffles, potatoes, eggs, and bacon. Then we lazy around, play with presents, watch movies, and of course, eat lots of junk food!
What a Merry Christmas!
