Bed Time!

Once we are all ready for bed and the room is cleaned up, we pray as a family. Kate is adorable! We say "Let's pray" and she quickly and firmly in an all business manner grabs our hands and bows her head with her eyes open. We have to "shush" her during prayer sometimes, but that just encourages her more. I peeked at her the other night (as I often do) only to find her face like 2 inches from mine with her big eyes intensely peering at me.... of course we were all stifling our giggles. Ha ha. She is so funny:) Now that Jack is here, she insists on holding his hand during prayer, which makes us nervous because she puts such a death grip on him. But it is cute:)
Then its kisses ni-night.
Lay her down, but its not over yet and she knows it.
Daddy throws her animals in bead with her.
Daddy's so much fun!
And then her animals talk to her and give her kisses...
Then high fives, "pound it" and "gimme some skin"... Then a back rub from Daddy. Mommy is impatient and doesn't give long back rubs. More like "(pat pat) Love you ni-night". Daddy takes his sweet time putting her to bed and they have so much fun. Often times he'll also read to her, or to himself while she gets distracted after about two seconds with a different book. Ha!
One day she fell asleep on me, she's so big now and cuddle opportunities are getting less and less, so I sat back and enjoyed some snuggle time with my sleeping but growing baby:)
