First Snow Play!

Patrick had Presidents Day off this past Monday. I set out early to get some groceries, and impromptly decided to go buy Kate some snow worthy mittens and a sled. The perfect mittens were waiting just for me at Fred's. I walked in. They were tiny and pink fleece. The ONLY ones around, sitting right in the open. They were perfect! She would even be able to actually move her little hands and thumbs in them!:) Found a decent sled. Checked out some boots and decided, "no". Off to the cash register. It turned out that when the cashier rang up the mittens, Freds OWED ME about a $1.05 for taking them off their hands! SA-weet! It was ment to be! Thankyou Lord:)

Later that day we took Kate out to play in the snow and sled for the first time. Gettting her all bundled up...

Pulling her up the sleding "hill". It was actually a mound if you will. The real hill was to our right, "Moose Hill", but we thought it to big for her first time, and maybe a little to much action since there were other sledders playing on it too. Hubs ended up carring Kate in the sled up the hill as she was having trouble staying in and balanced in it going up...
First ride down. No complaints. We're good so far...
Second ride down... Ooops! Pesky sled splashed snow up in her face! I wiped it off before I took the pick of her displeasure...
OK, thats good for today. New plan. Let's got to Uncle Shaun and Aunt Jaime's, which was close by. We started walking, pulling the Sweeters in the sled.
On snow that hadn't been packed down yet the sled was wobbly because Kate isn't that heavy and cant balance it out just yet, but when we got on a trodden path she was good to go!

Getting up is hard work! CUTE hard work!
